This should be renamed the "Official SFGAm World Cringe Forum". Once, I was waiting in line for American Eagle, Viper, Millenium Force, Raging Bull, Demon, X-Flight, Goliath, Gemini, Maverick, and pretty much every coaster anywhere and I heard "how does the rollercoaster stay on the track?" This is especially apparent at any Disney park.

That was probably my friend. He likes to argue with me and my coaster knowledge on purpose to get me aggravated. He also calls Superman's pretzel loop a "G Force Loop"

On a recent trip, I heard that X-Flight is faster than Raging Bull, and that Batman was the first ride here besides American Eagle.

When I worked at the park, you would not believe how many times people called X-flight, X-factor ......

That is just plain WRONG!!! How could you call that awesome ride by the wrong name?? I do kind of laugh though when people misquote stats about rides or say stuff like "Giant Drop is falling faster than speed of gravity" or something dumb like that.

I was at the park on August 15th and while waiting in line for Raging Bull the couple in front of of us asked us what ride is this. We told them but how could they not know what ride it was. Did they missed the Raging Bull. Now they didn't ask this in the overflow but in the first section.

I am completely amazed and astonished when people in line have NO IDEA what the ride does! I was in line for Goliath for example and the person didn't have any idea the first drop was steep or that it has 2 inversions until I told the person!! I guess our "duty" as coaster enthusiasts is to help out the less knowledgeable folks!

Another of my favorites is when people insist the ride (ANY ride) is faster in the front. I usually just let them keep thinking they're right, because it means less competition for the back row where I ride

A few years ago this guy I know told me his physics class went to SFGAm and calculated V2 needed to go 200mph.

Another time he argued with me that X-Flight was powered by a motor the whole way.

Two other things that REALLY irritate me:

1) People having a cell phone open on the ride (even the lift hill). It's very dangerous if that phone flies loose and hits someone. And I doubt the person wants to drop phone and have to wait around for the ride ops to go search for it

2) People being rude or disrespectful or swearing at others, including ride ops - I've witnessed at least 2x when people got infuriated about something so they started swearing or being verbally abusive toward the ride ops.

a) This girl got pissed because someone cut in front of her sister in the que for Whizzer, making it so they wouldn't go on same train. This teen girl starts yelling at the boy (probably 10-12 yo) and then calls him out for a fight after the ride! I shook my head and told her "it's not that serious. Just wait for the next train". So then she turns her rage on me! And guess what, she opens her cell phone on the ride and starts complaining to someone (see # 1 above) . After I told the girl she should put her phone away on the ride (she was sitting behind me) , I told the ride op back at the station. But it was closing time anyways.

b) another time, a woman was swearing at the ride op because her little guy couldn't ride Whirligig. She was saying how some other kid wasn't tall enough either! (kind of like, if my kid can't ride then neither can that other kid) They measured the other kid and he was like 6 inches OVER the height! And her kid was like 6 inches UNDER the height. SO I said to my friend (who was on the ride waiting for it to start) "more drama" and then the woman starts swearing at me! So I told her "it's not that serious and you shouldn't be swearing at the ride ops (especially in front of her little son!).

I just hate people acting up at the park. It's like my 2nd home and I find bad behavior very aggravating.
Perhaps I should mind my own business but it's hard to when ride ops are getting abused.

Yesterday evening while riding Viper, two teenage girls behind were talking about how Viper ran backwards last year and one of them tried to convince the other that it runs backwards every year including 2016
