Hate is too light of a word, try despise it. From having to dig the car out of 2 feet of snow, the awful shape of roads come spring and the general cold, it is hell to me. Thankfully this is my last IL winter and then off to FL.
The biggest problem I find with winter is about stuff not being open for obvious reasons (carnivals, amusement parks, waterparks that are big enough, miniature golf outside). Snow is a pain, but it's not my problem with winter.
"I've been staring at the world, waiting. All the trouble and all the pain we're facing. Too much light to be livin' in the dark. Why waste time? We only got one life. Together we can be the CHANGE. So go and let your heart burn bright"
There is so much to do in the Winter though. At least around here, there are always winter festivals and outside activities going on every weekend.
I think the main reason why people hate winter so much is because of the lack of sun light. It is recommended to get at least 30-60 mins of direct sunlight a day. But if you have school or work...that's almost impossible. So if you are not getting enough sun light you can become very moody or depressed. And I think that combined with the cold, shoveling, ect makes people hate winter.
I am just lucky that my school and work schedule allows me to be free during the day.
It's 90s all week here in the Central of the Sunny State of Florida. It blows, I wish winter would come and this summer like weather would leave. We need those 70s now.
Universal Orlando Mechanical Engineer Marathon down, Goofy to go.
Woke up yesterday morning for class, kinda did a zombie walk to my window, pulled down the curtain and saw about two inches of snow on the ground and immediately started swearing at northern wisconsin.
