No thanks

Galvan, cleary you arent into the fine arts. Sweeny Todd is the one musical that every performer must see. It is like a god in the theatre world. It combines everything you could want in a show. Music, humor, horror, suspense, everything. If you dont get that, i cant help you.

Come on Galvan, you're like the kid who won't eat his Broccoli because he's afraid he might just end up liking it.

Anyways, I saw Juno and I Am Legend last night, and let's see how they rolled out.

I Am Legend. I want to first point out that I am amazed that they kept my attention during this movie considering I was only interacting with 2 characters (Will Smith and his Dog Sam) for 90% of the film. Honestly though this movie reminded me of Signs, kinda slow going, but the sheer horror of the situation keeps you watching. Great idea for a movie, and Will Smith does a pretty good job too. I'll probably rent the DVD and watch it again.

Juno. Wow, this was a really really good film. This was written to perfection, truly showing what high school life can be like, but at the same time this was NOT a chick flick by any means. It combined the perfect amount of humor and drama to make us really feel for the character that supposedly didn't care about anything. I didn't really want to give this movie a chance going next to I Am Legend but it held its own and would tell you to see this movie first.

So after 3 movies in 24 hours I had a hard time picking a favorite, but I think Sweeny Todd still holds my #1 spot right now, but Juno is literally clawing behind that film. I Am Legend wasn't bad by any means, these two were just amazing.

^^ Hardly, first and foremost I have never liked Johnny Depp, secondly I dont see how I should go see a movie inwhich stars an actor I cant stand and Lastly, I find the whole story in this movie really dumb.

If I wanted to waste the money id spend to see that movie, id be more inclined to flush it down the toilet.

You're probably the first person in the history of persons to say something so negative about this Tim Burton masterpiece. To each his own, I guess.

Sweeney's waiting. I want you bleeders.

Okay Glavan, you can not like Johnny Depp or the idea of the movie. Fine, but dont insult the movie, Tim Burton, and all of us in the fine arts. Saying youd rather pay to flush it is just terrible. I dont care what you think of it, but say what you need without bringing the rest of us down.

So on Christmas night I saw I Am Legend... it was pretty good. I was not feeling well through half of the movie so I wasn't enjoying it a whole lot, but I kept watching and it was great. Definitely made us jump a few times, lol. I cried when he had to kill his dog...

Yesterday we saw P.S. I Love You. Ugh, it was amazing. Really sad and just really cute. Some really funny moments in it too. The actress who played Phoebe from Friends was in it, hahaha she was great. It was a really touching movie.

Water Horse It was a cute movie...i jumped a few times in a couple spots cause it was loud but it was a good movie. It dragged on a bit in some spots too but it was good. 4/5

Alvin and the Chipmunks 1 word Stupid.....it was so stupid. I thought it was gonna be cute because I like them but it flat out sucked. Some parts were funny and the rest of it was just plain boring....Don't go see it whatever you do. 1/5

^I disagree about water horse, I like childrens movies and found this one to be god-awful. 1/5.

National Treasure 2- Not nearly as good as the first one. I found the first one to be very smart but this one was not at all. Ted Elliot and Terry whatever are suffering the same thing that happened with pirates, Leave us with a cliffhanger here and then give us a crappy third movie. Coughpage47cough. The highlight the "Shiny Stuff" store in the goofy short. 2/5

^I've got to disagree with you there. While I want to say first that BOTH National Treasure movies aren't very good because the basic principle of both movies is that Nicolas Cage can solve any problem if he just thinks about it for 5 seconds...

That being said, I thought the 2nd National Treasure was cooler and was more realistic. Other than him kidnapping the President.

I find it offensive that Alvin in the Chipmunks is above Sweeney Todd for the second week in a row.... what is this world coming to.

See but my problem with the second movie is that Riley really does nothing. In the first one, he does all the computer stuff and solved some problems for him, not to mention the day light saving time thing. In this movie he just complained about how much his life sucks for the whole movie, so that pissed me off. Plus it was annoying that Nicolas cage figured out everything immeadiatly in this one, he had to think about them in the first one. Plus the whole abigail plot line was stupid.

I agree about kidnapping the president though, i was so glad that wasn't the focal point of the movie, because if it was this would probably top my list of dumbest movie ever.

I just saw "One Missed Call" and i thought it was pretty good. It was a thriller/suspense but border line horror also. I liked that it got into the main part of the movie very quickly, like 15 minutes. It was also an extremely creepy and disturbing movie. Mostly due to the fact that the killer is a 6 year old girl  Overall, i like it. 8/10

Watched Baseketball the other night.

It's still one of Matt Stone's most underrated movies.

Well these were already talked about, but i saw I am Legend, Juno, and National Treasure 2.

I am Legend i thought was an incredible movie and the best of the three. I agree with Woodland in the effect that it held your attention well for being character deprived. I found myself shocked on more than one occasion at what was happening. I saw this with Channel 5 at the premiere downtown in Chicago with a large group of people, and we all found ourselves talking about this one well after the movie was over. Best midnight show i've seen in a while! 5/5

Juno i thought was also really good, but in a simple way. I would put it on the level of Stranger than Fiction in the ways of intellect and realism, but it was really funny, which was a nice surprise 4/5

National Treasure 2: I agree with Woodland, definitely a better movie than the first. The first was more of a scavenger hunt than anything, and i thought it was really well developed for a sequel. 4.5/5

What a great Winter Break of movies!!!! I have yet to see Sweeny Todd, and i plan on seeing The Bucket List tomorrow![/b]
RIP: Trailblazer and Deja Vu...heck, even Alien Encounter :(

Jackass 2.5 4/5
This is a nice addition to the collection. Even though it's shorter, it's special features add over an hour to it. Before watching, I didn't realize that this was just a movie made to show the clips that didn't get chosen for Jackass 2. It's definately a rental though, because the actual film is only an hour.

^I thought Jackass 2.5 was a giant disappointment. Its B grade (in a jackass world) clips that were generally made when the actors were drunk in the middle of real stunts. The only thing I really liked from it was the commentary with the director/actors. That was pretty cool.

Maybe a rental, but if its not free I think I would just borrow it from a friend.
