RRP is a great idea. Especially in the case of parks having rides which people for one reason or another do not ride that much (Scream!). It is MUCH cheaper than ordering new rides and waiting a couple years. Even though for a ride like Deja Vu it cost about 3 million to move it and set it up in Idaho, I still think you CAN do it cheap and give ride smuch needed new lives at parks where they can be more appreciated. I am sure everyone will go nuts over a new Superman sign.... Great addition and I am sure any possible repair jobs at parks done will also be easy to market.
The latest buzz from Six Flags Great America is that the Yankee Clipper flume ride is closed and may remain closed all season. When a reader asked someone at the park about it, they were told it was likely going to be removed to install a new modern era flume ride with higher capacity in 2012. More when we find out…
2012 doesn't see right... Maybe 2011. And anyways, why in hell does our park keep getting water expansion?! Put it into the damn water park! I'd rather see something better go there!
Too late for 2011. They would need to take down Clipper very soon. How far along do water rides like flumes need to be ordered? And yes it is stupid considering Clipper is still popular when actually open and we have now 2 dead spots in very crowded areas. 1 at the front and 1 in County Fair.
Space Shuttle America will be in 1-2 years tops. Splash Water Falls might just get evened out, concrete poured in, etc. and do some beautiful landscaping there to enjoy while on GAR.
This is all very bad right now cause plans were in place for a while on 2011 additions. Chang was halted here in May/June. Now what? I do not buy the Hurricane Habor expansion is the only option as it has only been 4 years since Tornado was installed. Maybe they will move another ride here from a park that does not need it. Flat rides are also always needed. We have a good collection but SWF and SSA areas could use one.

Scream! is an awesome coaster!
And it is not a stand up! Scream for SFGAM 2011!!! We'd give it more love and not make it another parking lot ride. We could pull another Superman and make it really nice.
