THE Official "Intelligent and to the point" thread

A Off-Topic forum to discuss things that aren't related to the Amusement Park Industry.

To appeal to the ever intelligent and Mr. brains himself (JGSixflags), this is the place to discuss smart and meaningfull non-themepark discussion.

I will go first: READY?

O.K, I have done my part.

How does a blind man know when he's done wiping?

Forever a mystery....

But, because the cosine of toilet paper is 1.43444444444, I can bet he knows by the psychiatric waves that are emitted from the toilet up into his brain, so if you take the cosine times the amount of time spent on the toilet divided by the pieces of toilet paper used, you will come up with your answer. Usually, the answer is around 10 seconds of wipe time per every 30 seconds spent on the toilet.

No, it will produce compression waves in the atmosphere. Your ear is struck by these waves and produces sound. Therefore if no ear is present no sound is made.

Isn't Physics fun?

The camera records the waves as impressions on the media in the camera. Those impressions are played back recreating the compression waves which then strike your ear.

Camera only present = no sound until played back for a human.

It only made a sound if you heard it. And if you recorded it then played it back, the video camera made the sound, not the tree. :)
