It seems of late Judy Baar Topinka has risen to popularity in the Republican race for governor. I hope someone beats her, though. Because if she wins, we're voting for Blagojevich.
I would personally love to see Barrack Obama as governor of Illinois, but I know it probably won't happen.
Dan Rutherford for Secretary of State, gotta love the hometown guy. I know him personally, he's a really good guy and he's served his time in the IL senate for a while, I think it's his time now to take a step up.

I tend to lean democrat, but I am actually more of a centrist.
I actually was looking forward toward seeing a moderate Republican candidate, and was ready to give her a chance. Mainly because I have always hated this rat fink one step ahead of an indictment bastard we have now.
But then she went and bowed down to the far right wing of the party by taking Birkett as her "desired" running mate. I know she has to court conservatives in order to survive a primary, but if those two make it, he is going to seriously drag down her ability to appeal to the moderate swing votes that she is going to need to beat Chicagabich.
For those who don't know Joe Birkett- He lost the AG race to Madigan handily, mainly due to the fact that his state's attorney office had members indicted for crimes committed in obtaining a conviction that was eventually overturned.
It's bad enough Blago going to be hitting her before the primary is over (granted for all intents and purposes it ended when she announced), but to hand him ammo like this is an ignorant pathetic attempt to satisfy the same members of her own party that thought George Ryan was a good idea.
