It's heartbreaking that the death toll is likely to be that high.

Yes, i know. But thats just they way these things play out. They all had the chance to get out. Even the homless and poor. There were busses ready to get them out before the storm struck land, but they just stayed.
Resuces had to be put on hold because the people that were resuced were killing and raping each other.
They were lucky that they had a chance to leave. Earthquakes and Volcanic erruptions happen with out warning.

Just wondering, did anybody watch the concert for relief on NBC last night? I heard that a singer went off what the teleprompter told him to say and ended up saying that: "President Bush is sending the national gaurd to kill all the black people."

Just wondering if this was a rumor or if it really happened.

I dont know why these idiots play the race card. You have to be a Racist To accuse some one of being Racist! Just think about it.
Making statments like that do nothing but creat chaos, it just slows down the relife effort. No one can help them if they are histirical again. People just need to shut up, and start HELPING if they cant do that well they shouldnt be given the time of day.
Black White, they need help and slowley it is being given to them. If they stayed calm in the first place it would of been there a lot sooner.

Thats still absolutly terrible. I know you have freedom of speech but this is NOT the time nor place to say stuff like that. It can only do bad. If your mad about who is president (which is what I'm assuming) it's not like saying this is going to start a massive revolution to oust the President.
