Okay, how many of you eat the shells on peanuts? I do, I can't get enough of the salty taste. The oils in the shell actually help to relax a tense stomach, so next time you're nervous about a ride (or just have a bad stomach ache), grab a peanut!
I eat them sometimes...yes they do scratch, but it's like biting my nails, I guess....I don't know...maybe I have some kind of mineral deficiency. I told the doctor I eat ice cubes straight out of the freezer and they did some blood work and found out I was anemic.
To all of those who love the salt: Get yourself a salt lick like Cows use. It's much cheeper and more efficient. Peanut shells make a huge part of the US economy as a mulch export. Please, think of the mulchers.
CoasterTycoon- The munching on ice cubes thing has been a strong sign of iron deficency in women around that time of the month (but it can affect anyone of course). They also say that grinding your teeth can be a sign as well. Don't ask me why, but for some reason chomping on ice is linked to anemia. Go figure
