..it ended with Part 2?

If you didn't know, Jason isn't in the first movie, and in the second movie he has a pillowcase over his head. For me, I would careless about the franchise if these were the only movies released (1 & 2). I watch them now because they relate to part 3, but if they were just alone, than I would say forget it. In part 3, he finally becomes Jason with his hockey mask. That's why they made the remake even though I don't like it (to combine the 3 movies together).

You mean the Friday the 13th movie that came out last year has a story? All I saw was kids looking for drugs, sex scene, killing scene, sex scene, killing scene, sex scene, killing scene. Didnt see anything about any story.

^ I agree. I loved Rob Zombie's Halloween movies, but still, they can't top the original Halloween series...Same thing with Friday the 13th...

Part 5 was clearly the worst one (Jason wasn't even in it, just some dude wearing the mask)

But with that said I absolutely LOVE everything horror, and Friday the 13th is one of my favorites. The remake I liked, as it was a good culmination of the plots that fell apart after the first (original)
