Printer problem

My printer is acting f'ed up. So when I tried to print something off of Microsoft Works Processor, it said there was a problem with the black ink cartridge. the first thing I printed worked. I tried printing another thing, but it printed something really odd, almost like a chart sort of thing. Then It started printing these odd symbols on every freaking piece of paper, and it only stops when I turn it off. I don't know what is wrong but I can't print the other thing I want to print.
I had that EXACT same problem. However it just started working for me so sorry I cant help.

Yeah, same here, its working now. It's happened to my brother before and it just randomly starts working.
Did you install the drivers?
