I got my first visit in at Hurricane Harbor yesterday. Skull Island was very cold, but a lot of fun. My daughter enjoyed the funnel slides Typhoon and Vortex the most. She also got height checked 5/5 times. She got so used to it that instead of getting on each ride, she would go stand by the measuring stick until the lifeguard told her she could get in the raft.
It's the most fun in the park when your laughing in the dark.
The only water that is heated is the wave pool water. I thought the water in slides was heated, too, until I got in the wave pool. The lazy river might be heated, too, but I'm not sure. And I never did Skull Island. My guess is it's not heated.
I am disappointed I didn't make it to the park this summer. I was looking forward to heading to the water park. But unfortunatly, I had to work so I couldn't make it to Chicago.
i enjoyed Hurricane Harbor. I got there five times, and I enjoyed all five times too. Let me just say this.....next year, i won't lose at the wahoo racers. I will beat you Dan!
Got to hit quite a few of the attractions but missed out on some of the slides especially the speed slides. Oh well, next year will be my mission of getting on everything including the tornado.
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.
I also missed out on the speed slides. Was too afraid to ride them, and once I got the courage to they were closed because of staffing. Everything else was awesome though, especially the Wahoo Racers and bowl slides. I managed 4 trips to HH, the first time I just looked at the park. I'm going to miss going there.
I was there on the last day, the slides were all very very cold. Too cold to actually enjoy them. My girlfriend and I spent most of the time there in the wavepool and the lazy river, which was warm, so I assume the lazy river is heated as well. I don't like Hurricane Harbor that much, but my girlfriend loves it, so I can put up with 2 hours there if I can spend all the rest of the time in the park.
