Advertisements... WTF????

For any questions, comments, problems or suggestions about anything on this website.

I've been noticing a LOT lately that a lot of the advertisements seem to be for celebrity sex videos, or some sort of adult content. Not all of it is for nudity, but most of it is definitely not suitable for this kind of website. I would expect more like the ones i see now, for disney and other theme parks.

NOTE- These ads usually only show up on the homepage in the banner and side advertisement places.

People have more than coaster preferences here. It's hard to satisfy everybody you know.

If you let me know what they are advertising, I can get rid of them.

/\ That is just an ad cookie that you have. It shouldn't really be anything else.

^Yeah, I know it's not a virus or anything but it gets annoying to see it in every sweep.

Zango is an Ad-aware. It tries to trick you into installing a virus scanner or a media player that is FAKE.

A severe case for this can be found at this website: http://www.aninaruto.com

DON'T CLICK ANYTHING! JUST LEAVE THE WEBSITE.

I have Firefox already, so glad for that. I was originally gonna stick with IE when I got this laptop, but then one page I refreshed weeks ago gave me lots of lag and popups out of nowhere and I got fed up.

Don't accept the terms for what, Zango?

I changed the settings on the type of ad content that will appear on the site. Hopefully that helps.

I didn't see any ad campaigns by Zango though, so I am not sure why those ads would be displaying. I haven't seen any of them myself.

I haven't seen any either, but I know they appear if you use Internet Exploer and have a "History" for visiting bad sites.

I know this is a very old thread, but I didn't want to create a new one.

Is there any way you can get rid of all the banner ads for dating sites??

^If you're using Google Chrome, you can use an AdBlocker extension. Although, doing this would mean that the site would lose a bit of revenue.

^ I actually was posing that question for the side owner or moderators, if there's a way they can get rid of those types of banner ads.
