Private Message Problem

I recieved an e-mail notice last night stating that I had a new private message waiting for me.

When I logged in this morning onto the site, I had no new private messages.

My inbox was only 50-60% full at that point, so I don't think it had to do with the size of a new message. I have cleared my inbox of all old messages, but still have not seen this supposed new message that arrived last night.

Any ideas?

If you haven't read it yet, I'm pretty sure that the sender is able to delete a message before you read it.

Guess what - The same problem has occured again.

I received my e-mail notice over the weekend, log in on a regular computer monday morning and once again no message.

Something that I forgot to mention is that I log in via cell phone / WAP when I am not near a reguar computer. Both times this problem has occured I have logged in with WAP before returning to the site via regular internet. Is it possible that this is causing some sort of error?

To the best of my knowledge there is no way to retrieve a PM via WAP, but the logging in with WAP might still screw with the system?

Either that, or someone is having some fun with me by deleting messages

Tom Crean - Traitor - any ideas?

Someone is just messing with you. I've checked the system out and can replicate it perfectly.

Good to know that someone finds it worth their time to waste mine.

As for PM's via WAP - Is there a menu option available that I'm not seeing or is it just not available yet?

Who do you think I tested it out on? I sent it before the weekend so that might be corresponding to mine. All I know is I didn't sent the first.

Maybe I'm the only one who thought this, but I thought you would've sent it to one of your other 15 usernames.

^Thats what I thought he did.

How else would you be able to replicate the error without knowing what happens on the recipient side?

The second one was at the same time as his post, so that clears one of them up.

Ihauntu2, I tested it out on you, but then to my dismay i spilled pop on my modem and it fried so i was unable to inform you that I had tested it... my condolences.

Sorry!

Moderators/Site Admin - I'm having a problem with Private Messages getting stuck in my Outbox. This has happened at least 3x in the last couple of months. I have like 1% of my email box filled up so I don't think that's the problem.

Any ideas??

Pretty sure on forums "Outbox" just means the receiver hasn't opened it.

I don't think that's what's going on because most of the private messages I've sent have left the outbox right away. I don't think someone is reading them as soon as I send them. Also, the messages that are stuck in Outbox don't show up in the Sent folder.

Is anyone else experiencing this?
