Is it just me, or did anyone else notice that V2's supports looked repainted? I didn't see any spots where the paint is coming off. Was it supposed to be repainted?
It's green. It's blue. It's all over you! Enjoy your ride on Déjà Vu
I think they were too! I looked at a picture i took on opening day and although they don't look it, the new part of the supports and the old part are identical in color and look like one piece. Is this a sign as well or have they always been identical?
RIP: Trailblazer and Deja Vu...heck, even Alien Encounter
I would assume the newer supports just faded to the lighter teal color, as I don't think that the park did any major paintings on rides this past off-season.
to me they looked different, but everyone with me insisted it's the same as last year, though you could tell it's not really fresh paint, but I remember the newer supports were a different shade and where the new supports were attached to the old it was never touched up and it was rusty and bare now it's not that way anymore.

Are you are talking about the extra section of supports towards the top of each spike?
I think Intamin installed them on all their Impulse Coasters a few seasons back. If I remember correctly they put them in to reduce some of the sway on the spikes.

uuuuuuuuummmmmmmm, you guys, like almost the whole park got repainted. I wouldnt be surprised if that did too. Hell, even the paths got reapainted (re-sealed)
Honestly, the pause on V2 doesnt do much for me. I love sitting in the back row, on Wicket Twister and going up the twisted back spike. It is one of the best experiences on a coaster you can get. You being so high, and nothing really under you is a cool experience.
But, can anyone tell if Wicked Twister at Cedar Ponit is better than V2 at SFGAM?
They just offer different ride experiences. V2 gives you a straight plummet to the ground with a stall on the second run and WT gives you two spirals. It depends on what you like. I personally like v2 better.
I personally like Wicked Twister better. That back spiral is awesome. I still love V2, but I think WT is better. To me, sitting in the back row of WT and coming from the highest point on the back spiral feels like the drop on TTD, except inverted...
V2 is one of my favorite rides at the park but recently i have noticed several rows of broken seats. Opening day back 2 rows. The last time i was there 2 weeks ago at least 3 rows were shut down. Just wondering if any one else noticed this, or had any insight on the problem.
I would just like to say that V2 is my favorite roller coaster in the park! Of course it has a tie with Raging Bull, but it is a very close one! I love the thrill of being lifted upside down! I would like to say that the initial launch does not do anything for me, but the rest of the ride is great. After all, it is the 2nd fastest roller coaster in the park!
I agree the launch feels nothing what it looks like. Its tied with Bull for me as well, there is just something so fun about it. The front is crazy fun.
ONLY downside... the damn wait once in the station... lord almighty! you quickly realize being third in line for a row means 15-20 minutes

Hi,
I completely agree! The line is pretty long once you are in the station, and especially if you are going front row for the full experience. However, I think that it is completely worth it! I love this roller coaster and I would never want it to be removed!
^Yet you have no qualms removing other peoples favorite rides...
Anyway, that's why I almost never used to ride in the front. Usually Rows 8-10 are fairly quick; usually at most 15 minutes from the station. I also noticed the supports were just slightly darker than I remember on 6/1.
