Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.
As I was messing around with Google earth I went back to 1994 and noticed what seemed to be another theater in what is currently the giant drop area
I was wondering if anyone knew any information on it

I have a feeling it's the remnants from Southern Cross, or an employee building.

That was the Six Flags Bandstand, it was there in 1994-1995, was relocated there from Carousel Plaza when Space Shuttle America was built. Was called Great America Bandstand when it was in Carousel

if you don't have any pics of the bandstand some more of the 1994 google earth shots would be killer.

I have no pics, nor did I ever see any bands there at either location. I think it was only used a handful of times per year.

That as an era when I went to the park a lot but I have no memory of they place at all. They really really must not have used it much.

I believe I remember these theaters. I believe it was really a portable stage with some portable bleachers. I do not think they were there for long.

Go onto Google Earth/Maps. You can view whatever you want in the park.
