Best Holiday To Attend?

My goal is to go to SFGAm at least once this year because I never got the opportunity to these last two years due to school and work. Usually my friends and I have all the major holidays off (4th of July, Labor Day, Memorial Day, etc) and we've wanted to go one of these days since our schedules clash but we always never go during these holidays for the same conclusion: most of the public has that day off too and we fear the parks will be obnoxiously crowded.

Anyway, my question to you SFGAm buffs is: what holiday has the lowest attendance/crowds...if any? Thanks.

Any holiday between May and October where the park doesn't have a big event for it.

I'd say Labor Day.

No I went Labor day and I waited 2 hours for Roaring Rapids, Any holiday they are going to be crowded because people have the day off in most cases. If you plan on going during the holiday get a FP at least gold & eat in the park, Johnny Rockets or a Loaded Nacho are your best bets. I also wouldn't even consider the water park on these days.

They aren't day off holidays, but Father's Day and Mother's Day in particular have pretty light crowds. Especially in the morning/early afternoon.

Memorial day Monday would probably be your best bet... People aren't fully in "summer" mode yet, and there is still school the next day... Weather can also be your friend if it's cool and/or damp..

Columbus Day wasn't over the top crowded. Granted, not everybody has that day off.

Haha I think a flash pass anytime before June would be like the ultimate guarantee to ride everything with almost no wait times XD

We went last year early June and the crowds were so light! We went on a Wednesday/Thursday when most kids had school in session, but my kid's school already had off for the year and it was a season pass holder bring a friend for free day. It worked out great because I had 2 days where I could bring the kid and her cousin to run off some energy and get us out of the house for cheap!

The most crowds we saw were like 8th graders there with their school, but they seemed to leave fairly early.

Yeah, schools run pretty late for Gurnee/Grayslake. You can go all of May weekdays with basically no crowds.

Chicago Public Schools don't let out until late June this year. Weekdays would maximize the day.

Jeez. My last day is May 26th! I try my hardest to get to the park while schools generally still in. Those are the best days. 2014 I was able to go on 3 of these days, but in 15' I didn't get to once. I'm hoping to make it out for at least one time while CPS is still in.

Same, especially that I don't have Drama after April, I'd love to go more often to the park in May. I might even try to get my friends too. Then we can be lonely together!

I'm not sure if I will even be here for Opening Weekend. I'll be returning from Georgia and Tennessee. Can't wait.
