New for 2016 - Justice League: Battle for Metropolis

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

I doubt there will be much if anything added to this new area in terms of attractions. I do not believe details were discussed as to what they meant by "enhanced Lex Luthor Scene."

It seems like the other side always wins on American Eagle :?
Also, I've ridden Goliath 23 times in one day. HBU? :P

I have a feeling it has to do with the fog scene. Maybe they get better colors?

Yah I don't see many attractions at all in this new section of the park. I'm not getting my hopes up at all. If they prove me wrong I'll be extreamly content.

It was being discussed a few posts up that there isn't enough space to add more attractions to the new Metropolis Plaza section of the park that Justice League will be in. Removing Demon would solve this issue. It might not be removed this year, but I think Demon will be gone within five years.

What about where the Coca Cola Cool Zone was?
What about between the bathrooms and Demon?

We'll obviously have to see how things develop, but this doesn't feel to me like a case where they decided to have a new themed area with a few rides and they're just doing Justice League first and will do more in a year or two. It feels a lot more like they wanted to put Justice League in, decided to put it there, and then realized the theme made no sense so they had to make it a "new area" (even though it's just going to consist of one ride, a store, and if I know Six Flags probably a Coke stand at some point). I mean, I'd certainly be fine with them trying to cram a few more rides in that small area, but if that was anything they ever wanted to do you'd have thought they would have done it before this.

What would be the point of moving two old flat rides? How is that marketable or worth the cost to move at all? They'd get two new flats before doing all that

I think he was just using those rides as size examples, not actually suggesting moving those rides...

Six Flags Over Texas this year is relocating their 2006 Troika and renaming it, So I guess if that works, anything is up for grabs.

And let's not act like Great America hasn't relocated rides: Whirligigs 2x, Orbit, Ricochet, Fun Machine, Go Karts, and probably a few kids rides.

I would guess where the Southwest starts by Demon, and ending near Oasis/restrooms.

I agree. It will be interesting to see how Southwest transitions into Justice Leage Plaza (I think that's the name?) near the bathrooms. They have a sign for southwest near demon which never really made sense but should work for Justice League, but they will have to get creative near oasis and bathrooms.

Well Mexico's is supposedly opening later this month. Not to use this as a guide as all projects are different. But I would more think of Goliath if anything. It should open in June at the latest.
