Bring a Friend impact to crowds

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

With Bring a Friend free days being June 3-5, 8-12, what is the impact to crowds. I was considering going that day, with my next chance the week of June 22nd.

I assume the later I wait in June the more schools get out and the more people, but does bring a friend free day trump that? It is spread over 8 days, will there will be a huge artificial spike in crowds those days?

Also I'll be limited to 48" height rides, which other than Golitah probably have a lower wait than the other bigger rides.

The first few days of June(up to the 9th) should be less crowded, because local schools get off on the 10th. Bring a friend should up the crowds slightly, but not everyone brings a friend. And the 'shorter' rides should have less crowds.

A few tips: If you plan on returning many times, get a green cup. They are very helpful. If you're only going a few times, get a red one. If going alone, try to utilize the Single Rider line for Goliath.

The local schools getting out date is a big help.

Can you buy the green sports bottle in the park for the same cost? I plan to go 2 or 3 times, as I have several school reader free admission tickets. I'm trying to decide if a season pass has any advantage over the thrill pass if I don't plan on bringing additional people and won't be going to the water park or fright fest (as the reader tickets end in August).

What is the difference between a red cup and green cup?

A green cup has free refills all season, great for local people(like me) who regularly go to the park. It does cost about $5 more, but it's certainly worth it for frequent visitors.

The red cup is like any other bottle we had in the past, $15, free refills the day of purchase, $1.00 refills the rest of the season.

If you're only going a few times, the Thrill Pass is certainly the best deal. You don't get parking, but you get free entry. If you don't want to pay for parking, get the normal pass. And you do have the reading passes, so it probably won't be useful anyways if you're only using the reading passes. You can give away/sell the reading passes to friends/family, and just get a Thrill/Season pass. It's your choice though.

Yikes, the red sports bottle is $5.99 for a refill after the first visit now according to the website.

^ Probably a typo. All signs at the park say $0.99.

EDIT: Actually, the $5.99 is if you want unlimited refills on the red bottle for that visit.

First off all of those dates are weekdays, maybe I've gotten used to weekends, but they really are manageable. The green cup is so worth it, not just for locals, if you plan on returning at all it saves money. I got mine back in April at SFStL.

It seems like the other side always wins on American Eagle :?
Also, I've ridden Goliath 23 times in one day. HBU? :P
