O.k. its officially time to do some pimpage. I grew up in Lake County and am proud of this place north of Chicago. I figured some of you peeps that visit SFGAm frequently or every once in awhile would like to know about other attractions in the area.1. Volo Auto Museum. This is recognized as the worlds largest indoor auto museum. Located about 10 miles west of SFGAm. If you like cars of new and old, this is the place to check out.http://www.volocars.com/2. Gurnee Mills. One of the largest outlet malls in the country. Near SFGAm.http://www.gurneemills.com/index2.html3. Onan's Pyramid house. Located about 3 miles north of SFGAm, experience a pyramid house themed to the Egyptian setting. Cool attraction.http://www.goldpyramid.com/shop/about.htm4. Illinois Beach State Park. Located about 6 miles east of SFGAm. If you want to camp during your park visit, this is the place to be. Enjoy nature at its finest along with Lake Michigan.http://dnr.state.il.us/lands/landmgt/PA ... BEACH.HTM5. Marriott's Linconshire Resort. Check out some up-scale lodging by the people who founded and built SFGAm. Located about 9 miles south of SFGAm.http://www.marriott.com/epp/default.asp ... InProcess6. Lambs Farm. Located about 5 miles south of SFGAm off of I-94. A place designed for mentally handicapped individuals to enrich their lives through employment and housing opportunities. They feature shops, restaurants, petting zoo, miniature golf, mini-carousel, train ride and other activities.http://www.lambsfarm.org/These are just a sample of what is offered in Lake County. If you can, make sure to check out some of these places during your next trip to SFGAm.
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.

That Gold Pyramid house looks pretty awesome. I'm gonna have to get one of those built near my house. Or better yet, maybe I'll build one to live in.

I'd say Chicago is close go Great America, and I love that place! Usually we go there when we go to Great America!

I saw the Blue Man group perform in Chicago and it was really awesome. Hands down the best show I have ever seen in my entire life.

There's some rich people that live in my area and some of them are very crazy. There is this one man that built a bell tower in his side yard for 1.2 million dollars ( it's really huge) and he has a big house. There are gargoyles and what not. I don't think a pyramid house is out of the picture.

I wish I had 1.2 million $$$. I think I would build myself a giant swimming pool, at least 20 feet deep on one end. It would have the worlds steepest slide go into it too! With leftover money, I would buy a tilt-a-whirl! I love those things!
