Apparently two trains on the Smiler collided today. Four people are seriously injured.

Very tragic. I have heard reports that one of the victims needed to have one of their legs amputated but that may just be a rumor.

it's as good as gone, unless there is a huge change of thought within the chain.

For now, no one but the park knows exactly what happened, but it's def the most major malfunctions on a ride at any point in modern times. I absolutely refuse to even speculate on what happened. Even if it was 100% human error at any point along the line, there is no longer any possible way to market the ride in a successful manner and save face. Best case scenario is another park purchases the ride, but with what went on during construction, the chance of that happening is like sub 1%

What went on During construction? Is it like what I've heard with demon being literally welded to the footers? I honestly will still ride any coaster regardless of it's history.

Many of the track pieces didn't fit together and or with supports. Scrapping it would be much easier.

I forgot to add this in my TR,
But in line for Goliath, I heard a teen talking to his group how there was a crash in England and like 5 people died, thus causing someone in his group to become quite scared.
I had to step in and say that no one was killed in the accident cause I'm seeing all the false rumors about the crash and while this was silly, I just needed to
End it

This is why it is sometimes good for people like us to barge into conversations.

Yet people don't appreciate it and still insist that they're right.

Candy: What you lookin' at?
Otis B. Driftwood: I'm lookin' at you, mama.
Candy: Yeah, you see something you like?
Otis B. Driftwood: Maybe. I set my standards pretty low, so I'm never disappointed.

I met a really chill ride op at Kings Island at Invertigo. We talked for about 45 mins. One of the many things we talked about is the smiler, and he agreed that they should have sent more than one empty train afterwards. He said they are required to send multiple empty trains, never just one. At Rougaru today, they sent all 3 empty trains before transferring one off. That's the way it should be done. At X-Flight I've seen them send just one train, but it's not as big of a deal as the smiler because x-flight doesn't have a mid course brake run unlike smiler

^^^ This is true. However even on X-Flight they wait until the 1st empty train is waiting behind the one in the station. It can still get stuck on the brakes parallel to the station, even though this is rare.
