Hello fans of Six Flags Great America:
OVERVIEW:
Today we have some very exciting news about the changes we have in store for the park in the 2017 season. We are breaking park records with the addition of Le Serpent. The tallest roller coaster to attack Illinois is upon us! Next year, it will be your duty to conquer the foul beast. For now, you must prepare yourselves for the treacherous journey into the depths of the swamp. Travel 300 feet into the air before plummeting 280 feet at an 80 degree angle reaching speeds of 90 MPH. Fly over the pond, keeping the aquatic monster just out of reach and soar over two floater airtime hills before catching a break. Just when you think the ride's over, swoop down into Le Serpent's territory with overbanked turns. After passing through a tunnel (designed to look like the predator's mouth), you hit two bunny hills before pulling back into safety.
TRACK AND TRAINS:
Le Serpent will be manufactured by B&M and have black supports, dark green track, as well as a royal blue spine. Trains will feature 10 rows with 4 seats per row sporting "clamshell" restraints. Seats will be black, gray, or green. Restraints will be yellow.
SPECIAL EFFECTS:
The lift hill will have speakers that grunt like Le Serpent and will light up red at night along the left side of the track. At the bottom of the first hill, a photo is taken. After the first brake run, fog will be found within the depths of the murky swamp. water will flow as it did previously on Roaring Rapids. Strobe lights will flash from within the tunnel. The brakes will feature white LED lights. The station will have blue LED lights.
STATION:
10 rows of air gates found on right side on station. Each row can hold up to four people with the exception of rows 1 & 10. Row 1 follows the outer wall back to the entrance to the station and can hold 32 people. Row 10 goes straight back to the entrance of the station and can hold 8 people. An employee will control the flow of guests going into the station. Three groups of cubbies are found on the left side of the station, one per train. Exit ramp with ADA access found in the back-left area of station and leads to a new gift shop called Le Souvenirs Shoppe.

Total Cost: $25 million

-The Dark Knight Coaster- After boarding a Gotham City Subway, you quickly realize that the Joker and his henchmen have taken over the city of Gotham. Your only hope is that The Dark Knight will bring order back to the great city, and bring you to safety.
-Superman: Ultimate Flight- It's time to soar! Fly like the Man of Steel through a 2,800 foot long course, reaching speeds of 51 mph. Fly over, under, upside down on this 106 foot tall thrill ride.

____-Thrill Rides: Gotham City will be home to 2 high-thrill attractions:
-The Riddler Revenge: Riddle me this: What is 147 feet tall, angles you 120 degrees, and reaches speeds of 70 mph? The Riddler Revenge of course!

This world-class pendulum ride will take 40 riders to dizzying heights at 70 mph, reaching a maximum angle of 120 degrees. This will leave your head spinning!

-The Joker: The Joker has taken control with this 7 story wheel of steel.

Sitting face to face, this maniacal machine will take you 360* forwards and backwards with maximum hangtime. Will you face The Joker?


____-Family Rides: Along with 2 thrilling attractions, 3 family-based attractions will be a part of Gotham City as well.
-Gotham City Crime Wave: Gotham's most notorious villains have teamed up to cause total chaos!
Gotham City Crime Wave will take riders to new heights on this dizzying balloon ride. Featuring cars themed to different villains like Catwoman, Poison Ivy, and The Riddler, you will be sure to have a blast on Gotham City Crime Wave!(retheme of Big Easy Balloons)
-The Penguin's Blizzard River: The Penguin is making a splash on this thrilling raft ride. Featuring a 1,500 foot course, multiple waterfalls, squirters, and a tunnel, The Penguin's Blizzard River will be sure to soak you head to toe!

Warning: You WILL get wet!(retheme of Roaring Rapids)
-Harley Quinn Spinsanity: Harley Quinn Spinsanity will take families on a head-spinning ride with rocking, spinning, and special musical effects! This will be a wild ride you won't forget!

____-Retail: 2 main retail shops will be part of Gotham City:

-Heroes: A shop made for superheroes who finished a long day of fighting crime. Featuring various DC apparel, merchandise, and snacks.
-Gotham Gear: An open-air store featuring various DC apparel and merchandise.(replacement of Ring Toss and Water Gun games stand).

____-Food: There will be 4 places to dine in Gotham City:

-Teen Titans Tower Pizza: What's the Teen Titans without Pizza? Featuring Famous Famiglia Pizza, cheese bread, salad, fries, soft drinks, and cookies.(retheme of Primo's Pizzeria)
-Mr. Freeze Ice Cream and Snacks: Ice Cream, frozen lemonade, and other various snacks.(retheme of Hurricane Hannah's)
-Johnny Rockets: Blast to the past in this 50's themed diner! Featuring burgers, chicken, onion rings, and world-famous shakes.
-Superman Coke Stand: A Coca Cola stand featuring various Coca Cola drinks and snacks.

*Games stay the same, but are renamed to "Gotham City Games"

*Mardis Gras Stage renamed to "Gotham City Stage"
