With a few exceptions, the only thing worse than amusement park lines is amusement park food.
Chef Robert Irvine, buff and brusque host of the Food Network's hit "Dinner: Impossible," set out to prove that maxim wrong when he recently whipped up a gourmet dinner for 250 roller coaster mavens (presumably after and not before they partook of loop-de-loops and stomach-dropping drop-offs) in only nine hours -- using mostly ingredients available at Six Flags Great America in Gurnee.

The episode airs at 9 tonight. Irvine said it's tied for his toughest assignment yet.
