Frenzy Begins October 3 at the
19th Annual Six Flags Great America Fright Fest

Gurnee, Ill. (Sept. 18, 2009) – Starting October 3,
vampires, ghouls and werewolves descend on Six Flags Great
America creating terror at every turn at the 19th annual Fright
Fest presented by SNICKERS®. Great America morphs into
a shadow-land of ghosts and ghouls where roller coasters become
monstrosities in motion. There’s something for the whole
family to enjoy from two spine-tingling haunted houses - to
shows and parades - to a cauldron of be-witching children’s
activities including two scare-free children’s areas
and a free Character Candy Trail. Six Flags Great America’s
Fright Fest runs weekends starting Oct. 3 – Nov. 1.
On October 24, Six Flags Great America will host Thrill the
World – one of many events worldwide that will attempt
to break the world record for the most people simultaneously
dancing the Thriller dance. This year's Thrill the World aims
to be an unprecedented global celebration of the life and
music of Michael Jackson. The event will take place at 7:30
p.m. in Southwest Amphitheater.
2010 Season Passes are on sale now at sixflags.com for the
low price of $64.99. Season Passes include admission to the
best water park in the nation, Hurricane Harbor; as well as
admission for the remainder of the 2009 season including Fright
Fest presented by Snickers®. Season Pass holders will
also receive a discount-packed 2010 value book with more than
$500 dollars worth of offers including four Bring-A-Friend-Free
tickets.

Little ghouls and boos can join Bugs Bunny and his
Looney Tunes friends to trick-or-treat through Yukon Territory
Saturdays and Sundays during Fright Fest at the Character
Candy Trail.
Kid Friendly Themed Areas
Located in Camp Cartoon and Wiggles World
Families with young children will howl with joy at
the scare-free children’s areas featuring friendly versions
of everyone’s favorite Halloween characters.
The Wiggles
The Wiggles continue their run with a Halloween themed
show that won’t send guests crying to their mummy.

Studio 13: Where Film Comes to Fright
Hollywood comes to the Midwest in this exploration of primal
fear showcasing 13 horror flicks in 13 rooms that guarantee
terror at every turn. Studio 13 will invoke inner fears and
satisfy the need to scream. Not recommended for children under
12 years of age.
Rise of the Demon Scare Zone
Guests who meander too far from the path will end
up in the Rise of the Demon scare-area! Additional fee required.
Season Pass holders can enter for free.
Mausoleum of Terror: The Horror Heart of Necropolis
Long thought to be merely a myth, the Mausoleum of
Terror stands as a gory memorial to the undead where decaying
citizens are deadly dedicated to wreaking their wretched revenge
on the living! Not recommended for children under 12 due to
graphic content and intense nature.

Cell Block “A” Scare Zone
Aliens have invaded Six Flags Great America at this
free walk through scare area. Located in Yukon Territory.
-Dead Man’s Party
The one party everyone’s dying to get invited to! Party
with the undead as Dr. Fright hosts the biggest bash this
side of the grave.
-Susan Rosen, Mistress of Mesmerism
Guests can sit for a spell and witness the marvels of hypnosis
or volunteer to fall under hypnosis themselves during this
be-witching show.
-Love at First Fright
Fright Fest’s trademark family musical is back for its
19th smash season! Join Jack and Katie on a dare to spend
a night in the cemetery where they encounter unsightly creatures
and monsters.
-Mr. Six Spooktacular Street Party
Join Mr. Six for a grave-defying dance party everyday
at noon.
-Freak!
See all of the park’s ghoulish characters in
this afternoon parade as the park transforms from Thrills
by Day to Chills by Night with the rise of the creatures of
the night! Runs daily at 4 p.m.
-Zombie Jamboree Parade
A terror-ific end to a day, the Zombie Jamboree Parade
features a menagerie of ghouls and frightfully fun characters.
Runs nightly a half hour prior to park closing.
-The Human Freak Show
Witness amazing feats by fabulous freaks –
a show so entertaining and disturbing, you won’t believe
your eyes. Due to graphic content and intense nature, not
recommended for children under 12.

Bull, a free 15-acre water park, spectacular shows and parades
